Vintage Native American Skookum Doll #3
Artes Folklorico presents a vintage in the style of Native American Skookum young female doll.  The doll features a leather headband, plastic or composite face, beaded necklace, wood legs, suede shoes and fabric and felt clothing.  Skookums did not usually have arms but were wrapped with Indian style folded blankets so that it looked like they had folded arms.  Most of these dolls were made circa 1940-1950.  The doll is in very good vintage condition with only imperfection being slight hair loss on the back of the head (see photographs).  The doll measures 6-3/4 inches in height, 2-1/2 inches in width and 2-inches in depth.  A great find for anyone that collects vintage, old or antique Native American or Indian dolls or folk art.  Please take a look at the other vintage Skookum dolls and folk art we have up for auction.
