You are bidding on a used and fully functional
Sony EVO-520
Video 8 recorder and player for 8mm video tapes. This unit is very dependable, and I have been using it to digitize 8mm tapes. (I am only offering this up for auction because I now have a Digital 8 player that will playback 8mm, Hi8 and Digital 8 tapes.)
Included with this recorder/player is the standard AC power cable and a remote control. I have never used the remote control, as I always use the front panel buttons on the unit. Therefore, I do not know if the remote works, but I have no reason to believe it does not.
This is a workhorse of a machine, and I have used it for a few dozen tapes over the past few years. It will be the perfect unit for you to digitize any 8mm video tapes that you might have.
Again, this is ONLY for standard 8mm tapes
. This will not play back Hi8 or Digital 8 tapes.
The resale value on these machines is high, so you could digitize all your tapes and then put it back on eBay and get most if not all of your investment back.
