Fully functional
Sony DSR-25 DVCAM Digital recorder/player,
with only
280 hours on "Tape Run
", and
320 hours on "Drum Run"
count! This deck was made in Japan, and has the capability of using both Mini DV, and standard DVCAM tapes. It has a built-in 2" LCD display, for previewing content, menus, audio levels, tape ino, etc. NTSC and PAL switchable recording with auto playback sensing, Composite, and S-Video I/Os, three types of remote control interfaces - Control-S, IR, and LANC, and i.LINK IEEE 1393 DV connector.
please note,
this auction including the deck itself, with a power cable. No other items,
such as cables, manuals, or tapes includes. Physically, the deck is in very good-to-excellent shape, the casing has some scratches and missing/flaking paint, basically on the top part of the cover, but it's nothing
serious - no dings, deep scratches, or rust. The sides are actually in excellent
condition. The control panel is in excellent shape as well,
I found no damage to
the controls, silk screening, or LCD display,
everything is in very nice condition. As mentioned above, as far as I can tell,
the deck is in perfect working order,
h
owever, there is a small quirk. It seems that the door on the cassette slot will not
close, after loading a tape. If the door is actuated manually (to close), it will then
open & close every time, when the EJECT button is pressed, however, it won't close
automatically after a tape is loaded. As I said, it's strictly a "quirk" and
doesn't
effect the functionality of the unit.
The deck was tested with both a MiniDV,
and standard DVCAM tapes - I recorder from another source (using both types of
tapes), then played them back, and as far as I can tell, the deck seems to function
as it should. All the controls work perfectly, as well as both the LCD screen, and
LED display.
As a final note,
please note
, I don't use any professional testing equipment, to
make sure it's working with-in factory specs. All testing was done by actually
working with the unit, trying different function, and by recording,
then playing back on the same unit. If the unit does need "tuning" (so to speak),
I have no way of telling, so this item is being offered here AS IS.
