    Description

Presented today is this very nice Hopi Kachina Doll, depicting Qoqole, the Gambler Kachina. This Kachina, a favorite with children appears during the Powamu, and is half-serious and half-comical, and it is oftentimes difficult to tell which.
One of the favorite antics of Qoqole' is to suddenly stop what he is doing and begin an impromptu game of marbles, right in the dance plaza, during a dance. This extraordinary carving depicts this situation, and captures it perfectly. Standing 7 inches tall, he is carved by the late and very much missed Vernon Dallas, of Moencopi, a gifted carver who sadly passed away last year, in the prime of his life. Buy with complete confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, I will immediately return the full purchase price, including return shipping. This piece displays well and would look great in your collection. Many Thanks for your kind consideration, and as always, Best Regards, Rich
