Incredible piece of motorcycle history!!!! Purportedly used in “The Wall of Death” motorcycle stunt at Coney Island!!! It certainly has the look and I can very much see a hellion roaring around holding this outstretched in his hand. At the end of the day this is hearsay but I fully believe the source 100%. The scepter is in good antique condition with appropriate patina. Here is the description from the person I purchased this piece from. They are a dealer of mid to high end antiques that I’ve not seen veering yet in my dealings with them.
“I purchased this interesting scepter from a man in New York City years ago.
The story I got was that the scepter came from Coney Island and belonged to a man who performed on a motorcycle in the "Wall of Death"”
This red, black, and gold hand painted wooden scepter measures approx.
26 1/2 inches long.
