All Hallmark ornaments listed as new were bough at closeout at end of the season. They have never been displayed and probably not even taken out of the box. Items list as magic or light and sound may have Batteries. The batteries may or may not  need replacement. WE do not test the batteries because once you draw a current the battery will start to degrade. Also they have to be taken out of the box and factory wrapping.
