Incredible Southwestern Hopi Inspired Multi Media Oak Framed Needlepoint. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
I bought this item in a lot of supposedly Hopi Indian Needlepoints. I have not been able to authenticate this claim as the two experts I went to have conflicting answers. One said yes, other said it may be a kit, but have been unable to find any kits that even remotely are similar in look, let alone the workmanship of the ones I have. As you can see in the pictures this must have taken an extraordinary amount of time to make. Framed it measures 21” by 17” I have done reverse imaging, looked at auction houses, and have gone to needlepoint groups who know everything and they all say they have never seen kits anywhere near these, plus the work itself is extremely advanced. I have a bunch of kachina doll needlepoint listed as well. That being said I cannot say they are made by Natives. It’s important to not attribute anything unless you are sure. I’m also putting all these items with donations made directly to American Indian College fud.
