    Description

Presented today is this dramatically posed Kachina doll, depicting Wik’China, a racing Kachina who's name means the Greasy Kachina. Every Racing Kachina, it seems, has a unique punishment for slow runners during the ceremonial races. This one smears grease and soot on his hands, and rubs it on the faces and clothes of every runner he catches. At least he doesn't beat them with yucca whips, or cut their hair off, like other Racing Kachinas! This beautiful example is carved by Thomas Naha, of Polacca, and was carved in 2004. Bid with complete confidence, because as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, i will immediately return the full purchase price, shipping included. So have fun bidding and Congratulations in advance to the lucky winner!
