    Presented today is this vintage Hopi Kachina doll, depicting the Red Skirt Kachina. The Red Skirt is a Racing Kachina, and is somewhat unusual in that he races with a full Kachina dancing costume, which is the same as when he is appearing in the Mixed Kachina Dances.This nice example, standing 10 inches tall, was carved by the late Benson Seeni, from Polacca. Benson passed away in 1999, and was probably most famous for his puppet Kachinas, which were used exclusively in small puppet shows, given inside kivas.  Buy with complete confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, I will immediately return the full purchase price, including return shipping.
