Proudly Presented today is this lovely Hopi Kachina sculpture, depicting the Snow Maiden Kachina. She is danced as a prayer for the all-important winter snows. This wonderful example, standing 10 inches tall, was carved by Donald Howard Jr, a very well-known and respected carver. He resides in Moencopi, and his work has been showcased at the Cameron Trading Post for many years. This piece was carved in 2004, and despite its age is in pristine condition. Donald typically works at a much larger and more ornate scale, and it is a rare opportunity  to acquire a smaller piece at such a reasonable price.
