    Description

Presented today is this lovely Hopi Kachina doll, depicting Nayaiyataka, a recently imported Kachina from the Rio Grande pueblos (probably Santa Clara, and thus being Tewa he probably came via Hano Village on First Mesa). He appears in Plaza Dances, and usually accompanies other Kachinas who trace their ancestry to the Rio Grande. This splendid example stands 10 inches tall, and is not often carved, despite the fact that he is such a handsome Kachina. He is carved by Conrad Torivio, a talented carver that i have followed from the very beginning of his career.  Conrad’s work is always strong and clean, very well-made and very traditional. Just recently, I had the good fortune of acquiring a very large number of Conrad and  Fermin Torivio’s Kachina dolls, and will be making them available to you in the coming weeks. Buy with confidence, for as you all know, if the buyer is unsatisfied for ANY reason, i will immediately return the full purchase price. He’s available today at a VERY modest price, and even better, the shipping is FREE! Thanks for looking and Best Regards, Rich
