    Description

Offered for sale by the original owner is this exceptionally detailed Hopi "Black Ogre" Kachina Doll by an unsigned carver. Note the ultra-fine intricate details found throughout this remarkable piece.
This one of a kind piece is in *mostly* outstanding like-new condition, with the exception of some minor damage (see image above) to the back of the doll, where there originally was a protruding decoration of feathers, which unfortunately didn't survive initial shipping when the piece was first purchased in the mid-1990s.
Fortunately, this minor damage isn't discernible at all when the piece is admired from the front or the sides.
10% of the final sale price will be donated to Buffalo Blessings (www.buffaloblessings.com), a non-profit charity whose purpose is to provide food, clothing, daily living supplies, and other necessities to impoverished Native Americans living on the Hopi and Navajo reservations in Arizona.
