Description
Vintage Native American Indian Hemis Kachina / Katsina. Made in 1968 by First Mesa Hopi artist Ernest Chapella. Ernest passed away 1997. This is a award winning Kachina, still has two 1st place ribbons attached, it won 1st place at a show in 1973, and 1st place again at another show in 1975. Signed under the base. Also has a small tag with some provenance information, including the date and location made..
Vintage. Good condition. Has been cared for and preserved well. A little dusty, can be dusted off. Minor wear, such as a few of the extremely delicate grain spikes at the top of the tableta are broken.
