    Description

This is an Arizona HOPI KACHINA DOLL still in its original box.  I believe it dates from the 1950s.  It came with boy scout books and pins from the 1950s.  I cannot be positive, but I believe it is made of wood and painted in many bright colors.  The back seems to have been painted in high gloss enamel.  I cannot tell you if it is hand made.  the carvings do not appear to be manufactured.  It does appear to be hand painted.  The doll measures about 3 1/4" by 2 1/4" at its widest points.  I don't think it was ever taken out of the box.  The colors are strong and I don't detect any scratches.  The back of the doll has a place to loop a tie? or Boy Scout kerchief? into place.
The cover of the box says, "THE HOPI KACHINA DOLL".  The lid shows some spotting.  Please examine the photograph very carefully for condition.  United States Shipping only. I do not ship overseas. Do not assume any answers if it is not written into the description. Please email me and ask questions about the listing if it has not been described to your satisfaction.
