  • Grading: C-7 Excellent
  • Year: 1948-1950

  • Condition: .This 342 DC locomotive and tender is very clean and in excellent condition for its age. It has the brass weighted link coupler which dates it between 1948 and 1950. It has a smoke unit and choo-choo sound unit in the loco. The photos verify its condition; but, I have not tested it and it is sold as is. +++PRICE REDUCED+++ Since I listed this, a very nice viewer pointed out that the headlight visor was missing or broken off. This is not readily noticed; but, I can assure viewers that it was not intentionally overlooked when I wrote the initial listing. I have replaced the boiler front with a new old-stock part and have changed the pictures to show this replacement.

    Description

This is a beautiful die cast locomotive and tender made after WW II by A C Gilbert Company in the popular two rail S GA and 3/16th scale. During these years, the smoke unit and choo-choo unit were removed from the tender and placed into the locomotive and were very effective. The early years had the weighted link couplers to pull their freight cars or passenger cars.
